“I don't mirror the world in my art as a perfect copy or within set boundaries”

Lenni started as a tattoo trainee at Below Zero Tattoo in the fall of 2021. Entrepreneurship and at the same time the career as a tattoo artist began in the spring of 2022.

“I like blackwork the most and I'm still getting to know my style with colors. Heavy black and brush strokes are my thing. My favorite subjects are themes related to nature and animals and mysticism/mythology.”

“Right now I balance between learning new, working and hobbies. I want to develop my style, enjoy this time when I have found my own things and my own places, and above all remember to rest in the midst of the rush.”

“As an introvert, I enjoy being at home and being in the woods, being in peace and watching series.”

Creative storytelling

"In my free time, I like creative storytelling and hobbies related to it, for example playing Dungeon&Dragons. I draw visual diaries of role-playing games digitally and on paper. Anyway, I draw a lot of my own and friends' characters, I make up creatures and stories and other ways to jump to other worlds and other lives.

My first artistic memory

“My first artistic memory is when I was 3-4 years old, when I had a dream where I drew a perfect, realistic and absolutely gorgeous crocodile. In the dream, I went through pencil stroke by pencil stroke on how to draw this crocodile on a large piece of paper. When I woke up with a clear memory of the dream, I was sure that I would be able to draw this crocodile according to the instructions of the dream.

Then I tried in kindergarten and the crocodile didn't look like it did in the dream, and I remember being incredibly disappointed. That disappointment didn't last long anyway, because I've done nothing but draw since childhood.

If I mirror that early memory of the crocodile to the present day, I would describe it so that I don't mirror the world into my art as a perfect copy or within set boundaries.”
